JAMIE G. SMITH, MSPT, ATC, CSCS, graduated from the University of Miami, School of
Medicine in 1995 with his MS in Physical Therapy. Originally from Breaux Bridge, LA, he
graduated from the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts before completing
undergraduate studies at LSU.
Recognized by the American BackPain Center as one of the top 50 Strategic Orthopedic
practitioners in the country—and the only one in this region—he was one of the first 60 people
in the world trained to evaluate and treat migraines and TMJ pain using this approach.
A certified athletic trainer (ATC) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS)
with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Jamie has worked with athletes at
the high school, college and professional levels. His original focus on sports medicine and
orthopedics gives him a strong background in rehabilitation, sports performance and
mechanical dysfunction.
Previous professional experience includes being the head outpatient therapist at Kenner
Regional Medical Center, Director of Therapy services at the Orthopedic Center for Sports
Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Instructor of anatomy at LSU, as well as multiple stints
in LSU’s athletic training facility.
Jamie has lived in Gonzales since 1999 and established Spine & Sports Specialties in 2006
to focus on the treatment of the neck, back, headaches, migraines and TMJ.
DANIEL WOLLESON, CFO, grew up in Winnsboro, LA and graduated from Northeast Louisiana
University (now ULM) with a BBA in Banking and Finance. He joined Spine & Sports Specialties
in 2009 as Chief Financial Officer with 16 years of business management experience. His responsibilities include all aspects of business management including insurance and Medicare
claims, billing, collections, and marketing.
